Sarah Ray, APCC
I know from personal and professional experience that finding the right therapist that aligns with you can be a difficult journey. As humans we are messy and complex and finding someone and then having the courage to be vulnerable and open up with them takes time and inner strength. I am not here to rush the process or provide cookie cutter therapy goals to you. My job as your therapist is to hold space specifically for you and create a supportive environment where you feel comfortable enough to ground, connect, and explore your inner world - with room for self-discovery, healing and even a bit of laughter along the way. I understand firsthand the courage it takes to engage with the many facets of yourself and truly listen, and to embark on the journey of growth. My hope, as an intuitive and compassionate therapist is to provide you a safe and supportive environment for your personal healing and transformation.
How I work…
My therapeutic approach is shaped by my holistic views and belief in the mind, body, spirit connection. My hope is that I am able to create a space where you can relax and explore your challenges and strengths. Ultimately I want to get to know you as a whole and messy person and provide support. Each session is uniquely tailored to your specific needs in the moment, while aligning with your overall long term goals for therapy. Clinically my approach is influenced by Person-Centered Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Somatic Therapy. I hold a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and bring years of experience from the helping professions. My background as a yoga teacher, massage therapist, and reiki practitioner has shaped my holistic approach, which honors the mind-body-spirit connection. I enjoy working with individuals from various backgrounds seeking support with anxiety, depression, and life transitions, as well as new mothers navigating fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood.
