Karina Rocha, MA, AMFT, APCC
I know parts of life may feel challenging right now and you may be feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or even uninspired. Whatever has brought you here is a story worth exploring to better understand where you come from and where you’d like to go. It’s important to me that you know you don't have to find your way there alone. I am here to serve as a guide, helping you discover new paths rooted in compassion and curiosity. I remind you that you are just as human as I am and I am so glad you are here.
I became a therapist because I believe that our humanity can be our greatest strength and deepening our understanding of this can empower us in profound ways. I understand that learning to embrace our vulnerabilities, emotions, and life experiences with compassion can inspire tremendous personal growth and resilience. I have witnessed the power of people connecting with themselves and others to find the strength to overcome obstacles, heal from past traumas, and lead more authentic, fulfilling lives. This conviction drives my commitment to creating a space for you that feels safe and welcomes your most true self. My approach is grounded in non-judgment and authenticity, ensuring that you feel supported and accepted throughout this process. By fostering an environment where you can be true to yourself, I aim to help you harness your inner strength and navigate your journey toward healing and personal growth with confidence.
How I work…
My approach to therapy is collaborative and creative. I tailor sessions to meet your needs and honor your expertise and life experience every step of the way. I have found that I am a good fit for those who are seeking a therapist who is open-minded, non-judgmental, and relaxed. I want to get to know you and hope to help you feel accepted and understood. Clinically, my approach is informed by Psychodynamic Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Existential Therapy. I also have training and experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and am fluent in Spanish. Should you have any questions or curiosities, please reach out, I would be more than happy to answer them.
